Brickercup

Built like Oxen and Agile as Gazelles drawn by me

This piece of RRB/PPG fanart is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist by the name of Zofia aka AmberPone, who celebrated her birthday two days ago. So, Zofia, I hope you had a magnificent, prosperous, awesome, and beautiful birthday and I wish you abundant joy in your artistic endeavors. I also wanna dedicate this picture to all of my dearest comrades-in-arms and fellow shippers of Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles. You all know exactly who you are and I hope you all enjoy this. Ah, Townsville’s very own Team Xtreme. The superhero team where superstrong, dashing, ripped, hunky gentlemen like Brick, Butch, and Boomer have the muscles to do any heavy-duty work as well as give any thug, felon or mugger a huge beating and where gorgeous, agile, graceful, powerful ladies like Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles have the moves to pinpoint their opponents’ weaknesses and strengths as well as attack bad guys with style and elegance. Seriously, having dynamics in which raw power and strength can mesh with agility and grace is a force to be reckoned with and all of these fine ladies and gentlemen of Team Xtreme have it in spades. Think about it. Brick, Butch, and Boomer have the muscles to grapple, wrestle, and/or knock out an opponent in either a camel clutch, a suplex, a bearhug, a backbreaker, a body slam or a neck-breaker, while Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles have the moves and are just as powerful to subdue their opponents with their uppercuts, jabs, hooks, roundhouse kicks, clinches, knee kicks, flying dragon kicks, and judo flips, thus making all six of these superhumans absolutely indestructible as one impeccable team. In Brickercup’s case, one can never go wrong with Brick applying his Olympic-level athleticism by having the strength of ten lions, the speed of a cheetah, and the reflexes of a leopard and Buttercup applying her own brand of combining super strength, agility, and marathoner-like endurance to make one amazing combo. When all is said and done, Brick and Buttercup definitely meet Olympian standards with their brand of unwavering endurance and unrelenting durability. Blossutch’s case is extremely fascinating, as it is a holy matrimony made in Heaven between animalistic, raw, wild power and lethal precision. With Butch’s muscles and raw strength, he can make warriors fall down to their knees and surrender what little fight they have left in their system, thus making him the brawn. Blossom’s cognizance and strategy over her foes’ strengths and weaknesses make her the brains of this action duo. Together, every combo they make will give foes one good reason never to cross their paths. Boomubbles’ case may be a little bit more subdued than the other two power couples’, but Boomer and Bubbles are just as powerful and durable as their siblings. When one thinks about it, Boomer is not just super strong but also really fast, indubitably nimble, and has such abundant endurance to make him all the more astounding as a complete athlete. Bubbles is just as strong, agile, speedy, and tough as her dearest husband in the whole wide world to the point where they complement each other in every, single thing they do. These two can make any marathoner, any athlete in a triathlon, any sprinter and even Looney Tunes’s very own Road Runner himself extremely green with envy, all thanks to these blue-clad lovers running beyond the speed of light. Moreover, any Olympian would love to have Boomer and Bubbles as his sources of inspiration or even “spirit animals”. And there you have it. When you have really strong men pair up with really tough women, then you have matches made in Mount Olympus, baby. Especially if those gentlemen are Brick, Butch, and Boomer and if those ladies are Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles. Thank you all for tuning into this piece of fanart and I will see you all on the flipside. Brick, Butch, Boomer, Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls belong to Craig McCracken and Cartoon Network.

The Brickercup Family drawn by me

This piece of Brickercup fanart is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist by the name of Sylina aka AmusedDoodler, who celebrated her birthday two days ago. So, Sylina, I hope you had a most blessed, prosperous, and fabulous birthday, may your life as an artist and as a person be full of abundance, and may you live with grace and beauty as an artist. I would also love to dedicate this to all of my soul sisters, soul brothers, and comrades-in-arms in terms of being hardcore Brickercup shippers. I hope you all take the time to enjoy this pic and the post in its entirety.   They say that the apple does not fall too far from the tree. Well, if you ask Townsville’s very own Hot and Spicy Couple from Team Xtreme, Brick Green and his awesome wife Buttercup Utonium-Green, you will realize that their offspring is just as rambunctious as their parents when they were young. So, we have Brick’s and Buttercup’s tykes flying around being the cheeky, mischievous cherubs they are. Donning Buttercup’s old clothing is two-year-old Brooke and donning Brick’s old clothing are eldest son Blaze who is four years old and is giving the rock on sign and middle son Brendan who is three years old and is giving the peace sign along with the dragon’s kick. Let’s get to know how these tykes came to be.   It was an early August of 2013 when Buttercup found out she was pregnant with Brick’s child. When Brick heard the news he was initially shocked, but then he decided that he and Buttercup were always meant to be together, as they ended up getting married with only one more year of college to go. When Buttercup was pregnant with her first son, she started to crave spicy foods like Tom Yum soup, Kung Pao chicken and/or shrimp, habanero peppers, ghost chili, and basically any food that nearly broke the Scoville scale. The pangs in her stomach, as well as the burning sensations she would constantly feel, gave her the drive to name her son Blaze, after finding out from the ultrasound that it was going to be a boy. Brick knew that he had a pyrokinesis heir in the making. Buttercup jokingly stated that she was probably to give birth to a dragon.   This all came to a head on June 3, 2014, when Blaze Christopher Green entered the world. When Blaze emerged from his mother’s womb, it was discovered that he had heterochromia with the left eye being fire engine red and the right eye being lime green. In spite of this, it was said that he was a jolly bundle of joy and he was going to bring love and light to his parents’ lives. Moreover, when he was brought back to Team Xtreme Headquarters with his parents, a spark of flame flickered from his mouth when he was about to blow something. This surprised both Brick and Buttercup, considering that Brick did not realize he was a pyrokinesis user until Mr. Green came to his and his brothers’ lives as their father and Buttercup mostly used friction by vigorously rubbing her hands to produce fire before Brick tapped into her natural talent for pyrokinesis. Blaze also inherited his parents’ usual powers like laser eye beams, super strength, flight, impeccable endurance in combat, and unparalleled athleticism. In turn, these traits would end up being passed down to his younger siblings to the point where all of them mastered the Ballistic Barrage at such an incredibly young age, thus astonishing and astounding Brick and Buttercup. Blaze is very much the split image of his father in terms of inheriting his first hairstyle, not counting the heterochromia and his mother’s hair color, and bearing his impulsiveness, hot-blooded temper, street smarts, book smarts, cunning nature, strong fighting spirit, the tendency to lead with an iron fist, and the constant need to exude confidence everywhere he goes. He even bears his mother’s perseverance and free-spirited thinking, thus making him an independent yet stubborn little boy who does have a lot of growing up to do, but he is getting there. He even learned how to read before he reached the age of two, thus making his speech develop at such an impeccable rate. As Blaze grew, his fire powers matured to the point where he has a fire version of the eye beams burning anything that comes in close contact and can show that he can either manipulate fire at will or use friction to create said element.   A year later on August 1, 2015, Buttercup then gave birth to another son by the name of Brent Timothy Green. It was said that he was a loud baby when he emerged, probably a lot louder than his older brother, Blaze. When Brent was still a year old, he was able to move pebbles, small stones, and building blocks just by concentrating and using his hands to move them around. Moreover, he even had a go at using pyrokinesis to ignite any pebble. Brick and Buttercup knew that aside from being a pyrokinesis user, Brent was growing to be a geomancer as well, thus combining the best of both of his parents’ unique powers and abilities. Even more shocking was the time when Brent came to his parents’ room asking for a bedtime story by going under their queen-size bed and lifting it much to their astonishment and eventual delight to see how far their son has gone with his Herculean strength. Much like his older brother, he even learned how to read, write, and speak before he reached the age of two, thus showing an impeccable development in his motor and speech skills. Personality-wise Brent is truly his mother’s son but he also bears some of his father’s traits. He is just as impulsive, prone to temper tantrums, anger-prone, and rebellious as his mother but just as cunning and large-and-in-charge as his father. Buttercup even gave Brent…

The Power OTPs of Townsville

This piece of RRB/PPG fanart is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist, Samuel Aken’Ova aka tmntsam, who celebrated his birthday two days ago. So, Sam, I hope you had a magnificent celebration, please continue to be as awesome of an artist that you are and I wish you a lot of love, joy, prosperity, and happiness for the days and months to come. I would also love to dedicate this to all of my fellow hardcore shippers of Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles. I hope you all enjoy this piece of work.   A guy like me can’t have enough of my most beloved OTPs of Townsville Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles. So, let’s not waste any time and find out what makes these three sets of superhuman couples so fascinating and awesome. And to help us get in the mood here’s our good friend The Narrator to tell us, dear viewers, what makes these power couples super.   Narrator: Gladly. (clears throat) The City of Townsville! Home to the courageous, powerful, and daring six-person superhero team, Team Xtreme. Team Xtreme Headquarters! The resident of our superheroes. Oh look, the gentlemen Brick, Butch, and Boomer have just finished their round of Muay Thai sparring. Even their wives, Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles, who almost look like Tekken’s Christie Monteiro, have just finished their capoeira routine. Together these three couples band together to be The Superhuman OTPs of Townsville! We begin with the first one in the form of this kick-butt, fiery action duo Brick and Buttercup.   Brick: That’s our names.   Buttercup: Don’t wear it out.   Brick and Buttercup aka Brickercup aka The Hot and Spicy Couple aka The Fire and Spice Couple   Narrator: Kicking off this power OTP roster is the couple who can kick butt and take names, not take crap from anyone, can be a bit on the rebellious side and can send a shiver down one’s spine if not cautious. This hot and spicy couple is branded by fans as Brickercup. Donning red shorts with thick black stripes and Muay Thai wrappings as well as having the fiercest red eyes and being the hunky redheaded Alpha Male that he is is none other than Brick “The Bludgeoner” Green, the 26-year-old eldest son of Mr. Green and Mrs. Bellum-Green.   Brick (raises his arms to greet the crowd in a proud manner and flexes his biceps): Yeah, that’s right! Brick the Bludgeoner is in the house! And so is my awesome wife, BC.   Narrator: Speaking of BC, donning a gorgeous red top, pants containing a warm-colored fire, green smoke, and green firewood, green gauntlets, and lime-green armbands as well as being the lime-green eyed, raven-haired warrior girl that she is is Buttercup “The Toughest Fighter” Utonium-Green, the 25-year-old middle daughter of Professor Utonium and Mrs. Keane-Utonium.   Buttercup: Brickster! Your toughest fighter is also in the house!   (Brick and Buttercup kiss each other euphorically. After that, they face the camera with fierce grins on their faces.)   Narrator: Just by knowing what one can expect from both Brick the Bludgeoner and Buttercup the Toughest Fighter, one can expect these two to give any opponent a run for his money when one dares to come face to face with these two. Their combat prowess, fiercely independent spirits, never-give-up, rough attitudes, and overall toughness make them a force to be reckoned with. Individually, they work just fine, but together any criminal or monster won’t have a prayer to say before the beating commences.   (Brick and Buttercup beat up muggers who attempt to rob an old lady, a giant monster, and a corrupt politician.)   Brick and Buttercup: And stay down, suckas!   Narrator: What did I tell you? Attitude and toughness. Moreover, their powers truly do complement each other, what with Brick being an expert pyrokinesis user and Buttercup also being pyrokinesis user as well as being a geomancer. Man, talk about fire and earth becoming one.   Brick: That’s right. And do you wanna know why you should never make us angry?!!   Buttercup: You really wanna know why you shouldn’t piss us off?!!!   (Brick’s hands ignite and fire spews from his mouth, as he lets out an earth-shattering scream.)   Brick: It’s because I can roast you alive! So, you better be prepared for me to heat things up!   (Buttercup then telekinetically lifts up a huge rock from the ground and it ignites it. She struggles at first but then she also lets out a powerful scream.)   Buttercup: And I can crush you while seeing you burn!   (Brick’s flames die down and Buttercup gently drops the rock to the ground.)   Brick: You’d have to be really stupid to face us.   Buttercup: Unless you’re really craving for a knuckle sandwich then we have it in spades.   Narrator: Well, that was igniting, to say the least. So, anyway, when this couple is not completely engaged in combat, they are engaged in steamy intimacy. Seriously, the belligerent sexual tension is just so spicy but so invigorating, as they feed off of each others’ impulses and can also be tender towards each other when they’re not pummeling their enemies.   (Brick and Buttercup are making out when the door creaks open.)   Brick: Hey, bozo, move it or lose it.   Buttercup: Before we knock you out cold.   Narrator: Well, there you have it. Team Xtreme’s Hot and Spicy Couple. Let’s move on to the next pair, shall we? And the next one is our brawn-and-brain action duo in the form of Butch and Blossom.   Butch: ‘Sup. I hope you’re ready to feel the wrath of the Baron of Berserk.   (Butch flexes his muscles.)   Blossom (chuckles): Oh, Butch. I think they are. But you need to save it for the criminals.   Butch: Oh, sorry, Bloss.   Butch and Blossom aka Blossutch aka The Beastly Brawn and The Brainy Beauty Couple aka The Watermelon Couple   Narrator: Our…

Team Xtreme Martial Artists drawn by me

This piece of Rowdyruff Boys and Powerpuff Girls, known in my headcanon as the superhero team Team Xtreme, is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist by the name of Rolando Cuevas aka ROCuevas who celebrated his birthday yesterday. So, Rolando, I hope you had a wonderful birthday and I wish you well in everything you do as an artist. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this piece of Powerpuff Girls fanart.   Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you all the members of Team Xtreme in different martial arts attire. From left to right, we have the following.   Brick- Pankration Butch- Muay Thai Boomer- Kickboxing Blossom- Shaolin Kung Fu Buttercup- Kyokushin Karate Bubbles- Capoeira   Moreover, as you can tell from the expressions in their eyes, the pairings are Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup), Blossutch (Butch x Blossom), and Boomubbles (Boomer x Bubbles). So, in turn, I dedicate this Team Xtreme martial arts pic to all of the shippers of Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles.   In my headcanon, Team Xtreme as well as their closest allies and friends Mitch “The Persecutor” Mitchelson, Bunny “The Bouncing Mountain” Utonium-Mitchelson, Harry Pitt, Julie Bean-Pitt, Mike Believe, Robin Snyder-Believe among others practice different types of martial arts including karate, judo, jeet kune do, boxing, taekwondo, Muay Thai, kickboxing, wrestling, mixed martial arts, and jujutsu both Brazilian and Japanese. So when making this picture involving the main Team Xtreme members I had to consider which martial art could complement them in terms of personality, interest, and overall plausibility. For what I got, I definitely enjoyed getting to know the different martial arts and researching about each of them to make them gel these superheroes and to some extent their fighting styles.   For Brick, I chose Pankration because this martial art is not only a precursor to mixed martial arts but also has its roots in Ancient Greek history. Since Brick is both street smart and book smart, he would have a great understanding of where Pankration came from as well as the many moves and techniques being used. Thus, he would be able to learn about the history of this Ancient Greek martial art. Moreover, Pankration is considered to be a deadly martial art where it involves combining wrestling and boxing. One can easily imagine Brick not only knowing all the moves by heart but also using it rather effectively in both sparrings and in real-life battles. So, for someone like Brick, strength, smarts, and instinct certainly make him for what he is as a fighter.   Butch is an obvious choice for Muay Thai given how warlike, animalistic, and brutal he can be both in his personality and in his fighting style. He is the type of person who fights to live and his life is usually a constant battlefield, where physical and mental strength is an absolute must in order to win. The fact that Muay Thai fighters hit banana trees with their shins in order for them to be strengthened and be rock-hard is actually a phenomenal tidbit that sparked my interest. One can highly doubt that Townsville has any banana trees. So, the Townsville version would have Butch hitting oak trees or any strong tree or any strong material with his shins. Moreover, Butch seems to be a fighter who values close-contact fights, thus applying clinches, elbow strikes, and knee strikes to his opponents. Sure, wrestling could have been a choice for Butch, but I think Muay Thai fits him to a T.   In Boomer’s case, I didn’t solely end up with boxing but also kickboxing, given how fast he is with his hands and feet. Boomer seems to be the type of fighter who combines strength and speed and does so in a way in which he can incapacitate his opponents rather effectively. One can easily imagine Boomer delivering different types of punches and kicks from hooks to jabs to uppercuts to roundhouse kicks to crane kicks. Moreover, I can easily imagine him to not just be a very strong fighter who uses muscle but also rapid speed thus making him a force to be reckoned with.   Blossom and Shaolin Kung Fu really do go hand-in-hand. On the surface, this has something to do with Blossom’s experience with the Chinese language and even the Chinese culture. So someone who is immersed in Chinese culture as Blossom would also know the two types of Kung Fu namely Shaolin and Wing Chun. Shaolin Kung Fu is definitely up Blossom’s alley because of the monk-like self-discipline, diligence, and warrior’s mindset she bears to live up to this particular style of Kung Fu. Moreover, as a fan of the episode Stuck Up, Up and Away, the way Blossom managed to attack Princess Morbucks is not just elements used in Shaolin Kung Fu but also in Wing Chun Kung Fu, given how close-contact it is. At least, that’s what I presume it to be. Let’s also not forget that scientific studies show that a Shaolin monk’s skull and bones are a lot stronger than those of normal people due to the training they do. So, that principle would definitely apply to Blossom.   I went for Kyokushin Karate for Buttercup, as she is someone who applies full-contact attacks on her opponents. Let us also not forget that Kyokushin Karate is very different from Traditional Karate, given that Kyokushin is full-contact but avoids the punching of the face something that Buttercup does to her opponents. Yes, by saying this, Buttercup should have been more fit for MMA, but my headcanon side stated that everyone from Team Xtreme as well as Mitch, Bunny, Harry, and many other of their allies and friends practice MMA. So, with Buttercup, Kyokushin Karate actually ended up being a nice fit for her. Let’s also not forget her experience with the old monk from Makes Zen to Me. I’m fully aware that the old monk practices Shaolin Kung Fu and not Kyokushin Karate, but the variety of attacks Buttercup has as…

Muscles of Steel and Will of Iron drawn by me

This Powerpuff super couples fanart is dedicated to a fine fellow DeviantArtist who is also a very great friend and supporter and always leaves wonderful comments on my works, the one and the only Dolo aka PowerpuffObsessed. So, Dolo, I wish you a most amazing, thrilling, prosperous, and blessed birthday and I also wish you abundant blessings and joy in your work as an artist. In turn, I dedicate this piece of Powerpuff couples fanart to all of the wonderful shippers of Brickercup, Blossutch, Bunnitch, and Boomubbles. Enjoy.   Quick question. What happens when you combine four studly, powerful, badass muscle dude brothers like Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer with four gorgeous, tough, elegant, and sassy sisters like Buttercup, Blossom, Bunny, and Bubbles? Why you get four grand power couples who exude strength, confidence, fierceness, and bravery in everything they do as superheroes. Yes, Mitch may not be Brick’s, Butch’s, and Boomer’s brother, but I would love to think of him as their brother from another mother and their all-time closest friend and ally.   So, we have Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer doing the most muscular pose and being the strong muscle hunks that they are and their darling wives Buttercup, Blossom, Bunny, and Bubbles being rather calculating and fierce showing why neither they nor their husbands should be messed with. Isn’t that right?   Buttercup, Blossom, Bunny, and Bubbles: Absolutely.   Buttercup: Besides, my Brickster here, is in great command of his buff, studly body like a true warrior king. That’s why I’m more than happy to have this guy as my hubby.   Brick: Aw…BC, you are the greatest wife a man like me could ever have.   Buttercup: Thanks, Brick.   Brick: My pleasure, babe.   Blossom: Well, my dearest Butch, is raw fortitude and animal power incarnate. He truly lives up to the mantra “beast mode engaged”.   Butch: Bloss, you are a goddess.   (Blossom kisses Butch on the cheek and he blushes euphorically.)   Bunny: My darling Mitch may be a normie, but he has enough muscle to beat up any baddie out there.   Mitch: My rock-hard muscles and I wanna thank you so much for that compliment, Bunny Rabbit.   Bunny: You’re welcome, Mitchie.   Bubbles: Last but not least is my big, strong, handsome, and sweet Boomie. I don’t just love seeing his muscles but I love touching them too. I can tell he, Brick, Butch, and Mitch work so hard to keep such godly physiques.   Boomer: Aw shucks, Bubs. You always bring sunshine every day.   There you have it. The Utonium sisters are totally lucky to have big, strong, powerful, muscular husbands like Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer. So, any birthday greetings for our dear friend, PowerpuffObsessed?   Brick: Since we’re the gentlemen here, we’ll let our wives go first.   Butch: After all, ladies first is always our mantra. Ain’t that right, guys?   Mitch and Boomer: Yeah.   Buttercup: Well, all right. Yo, Dolo, we hope you have an amazing birthday today.   Blossom: The dedication you have to your work is astounding.   Bunny: We hope to see you create some more amazing things.   Bubbles: And keep up the great work.   Blossom: Now, girls, let’s let our husbands take the floor. They have something special.   Brick: Thanks, partner.   Blossom: Anytime, partner. Now show her what you got.   (Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer fall in line while Buttercup, Blossom, Bunny, and Bubbles depart.)   Brick: This is how we buff guys say happy birthday in beast mode.   (Brick hunches to do the crab-style version of the most muscular pose.)   Brick: Nnnnnnnnnnngggggggghhhhrrrrrrrrr…..!!!!!   (Butch does the same pose as Brick.)   Butch: Nnnnnnnnngggggghrrrroooooaaaar!!!!!!!!!!   (As does Mitch.)   Mitch: Nnnnngggggghhhrrrr….!!!!!   (As does Boomer.)   Boomer: Hnnnnnngggggggghhhh….!!!!   (All four of them group together in this pose with wide grins on their faces and furrowed eyebrows.)   Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer: Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!   (Brick then shoves Butch, Mitch, and Boomer, as he stands back up erect.)   Brick: Don’t mess with the boss.   (Brick beats his fist to his chest, as Butch, Mitch, and Boomer tackle and tickle him and they laugh.)   Brick: Okay, dudes. I tap out.   Butch: You mean it, brah?   Brick: Yeah!   Boomer: Okay, bro.   (Butch, Mitch, and Boomer let Brick go.)   Brick: Well, PowerpuffObsessed, we hope you enjoyed your birthday gift.   Butch: Let’s just say that our muscles wanna thank you for being here.   Mitch: Keep on rockin’, baby.   Boomer: We hope to see you again real soon.   Brick, Butch, Mitch, and Boomer: Take care and stay fit.   Wow! Thanks for that awesome piece of entertainment. So, PowerpuffObsessed as well as all of my beloved comrades in shipping Brickercup, Blossutch, Bunnitch, and Boomubbles, I hope you all enjoyed this post and this picture and see you all on the flipside.   Brick, Butch, Mitch, Boomer, Buttercup, Blossom, Bunny, and Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls belong to Craig McCracken and Cartoon Network.

The Brickubbles Flashbacks: Rekindling and Renewal drawn by me

This Brickubbles Month submission, as spearheaded by my dear friend BrickercupMasterX3, is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist by the name of StrayF0rk whose birthday was celebrated yesterday. So, StrayF0rk, I hope you had a pleasant birthday and I wish you a lot of amazing things as a fellow artist.   This second part of The Brickubbles High School Flashback was certainly long in the making. It took a lot of conceptualizing and figuratively banging my head how Brick’s and Bubbles’ journey in adolescence was going to end. So, here’s the final part of their time in High School. The pairings involved here are Brick x Bubbles (Brickubbles), Boomer x Bubbles (Boomubbles), Brick x Buttercup (Brickercup), Butch x Blossom (Blossutch), and Mitch x Bunny (Bunnitch). This flashback still takes place in the summer of 2009, though spanning from July to August.   There comes a time where relationships are either repaired or newly beginning. A repaired relationship is great, especially when you know that both life partners can start fresh and keep going with their lives together. A new relationship after experiencing the pangs of a breakup is just as great, as the past is left behind and what needs to be considered is the future. How does everything wrap up well in such a nice package? Submitted for the approval of The Brickubbles Flashbacks, I call this story Rekindling and Renewal. Brick, Bubbles, you have the floor.   Brick and Bubbles: Thanks, Antoni.   Brick: Hey, Bubs, remember that rabbit girl stuffed doll I gave to you when we were at the amusement park down at the pier?   Bubbles: Yeah, I gave it to Brittany as a hand-me-down. She and Birdie love to share it too. Plus, that doll kind of reminded me of the imaginary friend Blossom, Buttercup, and I had to create to fight off Patches.   Brick: Who’s Patches?   Bubbles: Oh, he was Mike’s ex-imaginary friend. Poor Mike got blamed for all of the mishaps when it was actually Patches who caused mayhem. It was up to me and my sisters to think up our own imaginary friend to combat him.   Brick: Wow! How are Mike and Robin these days?   Bubbles: They’re doing really well. Mike’s a child psychologist and Robin’s an English Literature teacher working on their PhDs. Boomie and I paid them a visit and we even spent some time with their three children, Sarah, Cayden, and Michelle. They are such darlings.   Brick: Glad to hear. Like I said, I cannot even believe we dated each other. How did Boomer feel about it?   Bubbles: He put that all behind him   Brick: That’s good. Because the last thing I could’ve done was hurt him so bad.   Bubbles: Yeah.   (Flashback to July 2009 begins. The then seventeen-year-old Brick and the then fifteen-year-old Bubbles are at the amusement park down at the pier.)   Brick: Here we are, Bubs. We got the whole day to ourselves.   Bubbles: That’s for sure, Brick. I don’t even know what ride we should go on first. And that makes me even more excited!   Brick: Well what are we waiting for let’s go!   (Montage of Brick and Bubbles in the amusement park rides, akin to Beastboy’s and Terra’s amusement park date from the original Teen Titans, begins. Brick and Bubbles are first seen on a rollercoaster called The Sharpshooter. Brick is clearly enjoying the thrill of the ride while Bubbles is rather terrified, to say the least. After that, they are riding on bumper cars laughing. Following that is photo taking time at the photo booth where Brick and Bubbles are making silly faces and choose the best photos including the one that is shown. Brick participates in a game where throws a baseball at five metal bottles and all three tries have ended up being successful to the point where he gets a rabbit girl stuffed doll, which looks like the Powerpuff Girls’ imaginary friend from the episode Imaginary Fiend. Bubbles hugs Brick tightly and he blushes. They walk arm in arm to the Ferris wheel, where they watch the sunset together.)   Bubbles: It was such a great day, wasn’t it Brick?   Brick: Sure was, Bubs. Who knew it’s been a week since we went out as you know…   Bubbles: Boyfriend and girlfriend?   Brick (somberly): Yeah.   Bubbles: Is everything okay?   Brick: Yeah, everything’s cool. I think I’m kinda hungry after all the rides we went to.   Bubbles: Me too.   Brick: I know an awesome burger joint where we can have dinner. They don’t just serve beef burgers, but also chicken, turkey, and even fish burgers. What do you say to that?   Bubbles: I think I would love that.   (Cut to the boardwalk, specifically at the restaurant Fish McFood, the same place where Brick, Butch, and Boomer were causing a ruckus and getting their burgers from the episode Boy Toys. The place as of 2009 looked a lot more stylized in comparison to the 1998 design, especially evidenced in the restaurant logo, as it has flashing lights. Inside the restaurant, Brick is munching down on a quarter pounder with cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, onions, lettuce, tomato, sriracha and mayo sauce, and gherkins, while Bubbles is munching down on a salmon burger with avocado, onions, Romaine lettuce, and aioli. They even share a bowl of cajun fries, which they also managed to munch down.)   Brick: This place brings back a lot of memories. I can’t believe my brothers and I were such monstrous little crapheads back then wrecking the place.   Bubbles: I know, but that was then. You guys just didn’t have a great role model until Miss Bellum came. And look at you. You’re the most popular, handsome, well-rounded guy in Townsville High, Butch is the superathlete alongside Buttercup, and, well, Boomer, he’s the most talented and most loved guy in school.   Brick: Wow. Thanks, Bubs, you really…

Townsville’s Finest Power Couples drawn by me

This RRB/PPG fan art is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist, JeanneWu, who celebrated her birthday three days ago. So, Jeanne, I hope you enjoy this piece of work I did and I hope you had a lot of fun on your special day. I wish you a lot of love, joy, prosperity, and peace on not only what was your birthday two days ago but also your endeavors as an artist and as a person. I also dedicate this to all of my fellow Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles shippers. With that said, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Here we have Townsville’s finest superhero troupe Team Xtreme having a lovely and cute moment after intense combat training and an equally intense workout, what with the gentlemen Brick, Butch, and Boomer being so romantic to their wives Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles. Basically, Townsville has an awesome set of OTPs in Team Xtreme in the forms of Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup), Blossutch (Butch x Blossom), and Boomubbles (Boomer x Boomubbles). Seriously, I totally dig these couples and for that, here are their stories on how they came to be. Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup) Brick, Butch, and Boomer may have been adopted by Miss Bellum and accepted her as their mother, but even then the Rowdyruff leader was as mouthy as ever. As kindergarteners, Brick and Buttercup used to get on each others’ nerves with their attitudes, what with him and his massive ego and her and her defiance and temper tantrums. These two were nothing compared to the angry shouting matches and beatdowns she and Butch would have and the constant ego-rubbing he and Blossom would usually engage in. Ergo, Brick was essentially Buttercup’s greatest frenemy totally on par with Butch. One moment they would be playing games like dodgeball and catch and the next moment it’s open house to see who can shout the loudest. This left poor Mrs. Keane-Utonium, who ended up being Blossom’s, Buttercup’s, Bubbles’, and Bunny’s mother, to drag Brick, Butch, and Buttercup to time out on a constant basis. Moreover, Brick and Butch had a terrible reputation for being the tyrants of the playground putting even Mitch Mitchelson to shame. Through their timeouts, Brick, Butch, and Buttercup used these opportunities to get to know each other more. Brick and Butch found it fascinating that Buttercup is just as great as spitter as Boomer is and it was actually she that taught Bubbles how to spit and Buttercup found it cool that she was able to have great sparring partners like Brick and Butch to hang out with even though they do annoy her, especially Butch. Sure, their respective parents scolded them for their not so civil behavior with each other, but the moments they had together were in a word priceless, as their bond grew tighter. From grade school to middle school, the very years when Team Xtreme came to fruition, Buttercup found herself much closer to Butch and Brick found himself much closer to Blossom, as the relationship between her and Brick was still on a platonic level. She and Brick enjoyed their sparring sessions with each other and they enjoyed working together as one team but somehow there was something in them that made them initially think that they were not meant to be together and just be comrades. Moreover, in terms of their powers, Brick’s pyrokinesis, fire breath, and other fire powers were put to great use thanks to having a father in the form of Mr. Green who monitored how his three sons were using their powers and made sure they were using them wisely and Buttercup discovered that she can control the earth that she stands in but she can also make plants grow at an accelerating rate, thus using plants as her weapon. There were still the obligatory shouting matches between Buttercup and Butch and the competitiveness that Brick and Blossom had, but Buttercup’s respect and admiration for Brick as the “team dad” grew and grew. The first two years of high school were the years where Team Xtreme’s powers matured both individually and as a group and they also had to continuously juggle with school, friends, and their jobs as superheroes. Through all four years of High School, Brick became one of the most popular, handsome, and well-rounded guys in school akin to a Renaissance man who was heavily involved in sports, the arts, the sciences, mathematics, political science, and debates, basically, the guy girls want to date and boys envy so much, and Buttercup became really well-loved in every activity involving sports. Moreover, the tenth grade was the year when Brick decided to date Blossom and Buttercup decided to date Butch. While Brick’s and Blossom’s relationship was relatively stable with the occasional arguments, Butch’s and Buttercup’s was volatile on an on-and-off basis, in spite of enjoying similar activities and having moments where they kissed and made up. On Brick’s and Blossom’s side, they were constantly competing for their spots on the honor roll, thus being the best students in the class, while Butch and Buttercup despite performing well in terms of academics found themselves in trouble due to their aggressive attitudes and constantly blaming each other for stupid and petty things. This came to a head one summer when Butch and Buttercup broke up while they were on a boating trip. They decided then and there that they would stay as friends and allies due to all the hostility they had towards each other and they knew that they could not last in a serious relationship with each other, which was a surprisingly reflective move from the Greens. On the Reds’ side, Brick grew rather tired of Blossom’s sleeplessness, obsession for perfection, and distance from him and Blossom grew fed up with Brick’s over-competitiveness, bloated ego, and tendency to be overprotective, the latter trait which was the problem they shared. Being the team “dad and mom” that they are, they decided to end their relationship on good terms and keep…

Four Blissful Powerpuffs and their Dear Husbands drawn by me

This Powerpuff Girls OTPs fan art is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist, WildGirl91 who celebrated her birthday yesterday. So, Silvia, I hope you had a most pleasant birthday and as you say in Italian, tanti auguri a te e tutto la mia felicitá e gioia per te. Spero ti piaccia il mio regalo. I also wanna dedicate this to all of the Brickercup, Blossutch, Bunnitch, and Boomubbles shippers out there, as I put in a lot of effort and time to not only make this birthday gift for one of my fellow DeviantArtists but also for you wonderful people. You all know who you are and I hope you enjoy this too.   My dear viewers, if you did not already get the hint, I am a major shipper and fan of Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup), Blossutch (Butch x Blossom), Bunnitch (Mitch x Bunny), and Boomubbles (Boomer x Bubbles). These four are my most beloved OTPs of all time and I am here to show my undying passion for these four lovely couples. By the way, the ages for these couples are as follows.   Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup) Brick Green, aged 26 Buttercup Utonium-Green, aged 25   Blossutch (Butch x Blossom) Butch Green, aged 26 Blossom Utonium-Green, aged 25   Bunnitch (Mitch x Bunny) Mitch Mitchelson, aged 26 Bunny Utonium-Mitchelson, aged 24   Boomubbles (Boomer x Bubbles) Boomer Green, aged 26 Bubbles Utonium-Green, aged 24   With that said, let’s proceed.   Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup) There is always something amazingly plausible and cool about this particular mixed-colored pairing. One is the fact that Brick’s large-and-in-charge personality can mesh really well with Buttercup’s feisty, mischievous, and snarky attitude, which is something I find really endearing about Brickercup. The other is how someone like Brick can be able to be the roguish charmer that he is and soothe Buttercup’s temper tantrums in his own way by being cool and not giving himself into shouting matches, even though they can occur between these two though it’s just their form of tough love.   As fighters, they would definitely complement each other. Brick can teach Buttercup new, intense, and interesting moves while Buttercup would be easily fascinated by Brick’s combat prowess, strength, and the command he has over his movements, thus making him a most admirable fighter in her eyes. Therefore, she would learn a lot from him.   Let’s also not forget that when Brick’s ego gets the best of him, Buttercup would always be the one to shrink it down to size by being the direct person that she is and calling him out on his crap.   Through everything they do as a couple, there will never, ever be a dull moment, as everything they do will be filled to the brim with excitement, figurative fireworks, and oodles of passion that these two have not only for combat but for looking out for each other with all of their beings. Speaking of combat, they would definitely form the tightest duo especially when it comes to fighting off criminals, thus making them such a great asset.   Outside of crime-fighting, they would be doing such fun activities like Dance Dance Revolution, doing sports, and many other physical activities, thus getting a kick out of each other with this electrifying synergy.   When it comes to having a family, Brick would be the strong, cool dad and Buttercup would be the tough mom who ensures that her kids are safe and well-disciplined.   Blossutch (Butch x Blossom) I cannot begin to describe how utterly fascinating this color crack pairing really is. On the surface, it’s the classic case of the strong bad boy pairing up with the smart bookworm of a good girl. Real life implications may show the consequences of such a relationship like this, but I can defend this pairing on what I find so plausible about it.   Butch is essentially this person with insurmountable strength, abundant fighting spirit, lots of determination, but also has the tendency to be easily ticked when one pushes his buttons and does not always have self-control where it is needed. On the other hand, Blossom is an articulate, intelligent, clever, diplomatic, and gorgeous seraph of a young woman who has enough patience and savviness to deal with someone as unpredictable and wild as Butch. What makes them complement each other is that Butch is strength and raw power incarnate while Blossom has strength, tact, and structure wrapped up in one gorgeous package.   Once they face each other, they would automatically acknowledge each others’ strengths and weaknesses and they would help each other become not only better fighters but also better overall people. Butch would indubitably fancy the pants off of Blossom’s combat prowess, strength, and impeccable reflexes but he would also call her out on using her head way too much when fighting is about instinct and having this primal urge to spot an opponent’s weakness. Blossom would absolutely acknowledge Butch’s raw animalistic instincts and brute strength thanks to being the muscle in this relationship, which would come in handy whenever she gets injured or ambushed, but she would also call him out on his lack of self-control.   This is where meditation is put to great use for both Butch and Blossom, as they would do this and yoga on a ritualistic basis, thus ensuring a healthy synergy and balance to occur in the body, in the mind, and in the soul. Through activities like meditation and yoga, Butch and Blossom would be able to not only gain a further awareness of their surroundings both external and internal, but they would also see another side to each other. Butch would be able to see a Blossom who is warm, sympathetic, nurturing, and kind and not just this uptight, highly-strung person. In turn, Blossom would see a Butch who is sympathetic, kind, protective, loyal, and strong in mind, body, and spirit and not just this bloodhound who is constantly itching for…

A Letter and a Photo from a New Friend drawn by me

This is my second Brickubbles month submission as spearheaded by my dear friend, BrickercupMasterX3. I know I was supposed to submit this on Friday, but I had other things to accomplish like be present in a film shoot, watch Gounod’s Faust at the Deutsche Oper Berlin starring Valentin Dytiuk as Faust, Nicole Car as Marguerite, and Almas Svilpa as Mephistopheles, and make a vlog-style review of that opera the following day thus releasing it onto YouTube. So, to Paula, I am really, really sorry for the delay, but life happens and priorities have to be taken into consideration. I hope you can forgive me for the super, super long delay. I can assure you that I was working and planning really hard on this piece of work. Don’t worry though I will definitely submit the next piece of Brickubbles fanart later today before I make my review of Ponchielli’s La Gioconda at the Deutsche Oper Berlin starring Daniela Barcellona as Laura Adorno and George Gagnidze as Barnaba. As my peace offering, I give you my YouTube channel, where you can find my vlog-style reviews of operas, concerts, albums, musicals, ballet, cartoons, anime, and movies. You can watch all the videos you want if you really like and enjoy them. You will not be disappointed. I have also put in a lot of effort on my reviews, so do enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/user/operaanimelover369 This piece of Brickubbles fanart takes place after the first submission. And lo and behold, we also have Brickercup present here, oh, pure, boundless joy. So, we have a triple whammy here, a lovely, sweet BroTP in the form of the awesomely macho big brother-in-law Brick and inwardly hardcore little sister-in-law Bubbles, a fine BroTP or in this case SisTP in the form of the toughest fighter of an older sister Buttercup and the joy and the laughter of the youngest sister Bubbles, and the most awesome and my most personal favorite mixed-colored pairing OTP for life in the form of the large-and-in-charge, strong, handsome Brick and his sassy, feisty, tough wife Buttercup. Let’s get on with the show. Narrator: The City of Townsville! Team Xtreme Headquarters! And after last night’s shocking moment, it’s high time for the awesome men and women of Team Xtreme to start this shiny, new day. (Boomer’s and Bubbles’ room. Bubbles is the first to wake up, as Boomer is still sleeping. She passes by the training room where Butch is bench pressing and Blossom is doing push-ups, their usual morning routine. After that, she passes by Brick who is wearing an apron with the inscription “Chef in da House” all in capital letters and who is also cooking breakfast for his teammates consisting of eggs, whole wheat toast, avocado slices, Canadian bacon, and roasted bell peppers and Buttercup who is setting the table while in her training outfit, as she used the training room before Butch and Blossom.) Brick: Good morning, darling kid sister-in-law. Did you sleep well? Bubbles: Uh-huh. Brick: Well, breakfast will be ready in about 15 minutes. So, do me a solid and call Butch, Blossom, and Boomer to the dining hall. Buttercup: By the way, Bubs. You got a letter from that girl you saved last night. Bubbles: Oh, you mean Jessica? Buttercup: Yeah, it’s on the counter. I placed it there for you before you woke up. (Bubbles goes to the counter and sees a fuschia envelope in which the back side says “To Bubbles Utonium-Green” and the front side says “From Jessica King”. She then opens the letter and reads it.) Jessica (voiceover): Dear Bubbles. Thanks for saving me from those bad guys. You are my hero and I wanna be like you when I grow up. Love, Jessica. (After reading the letter, Bubbles then sees a picture of Jessica, Mr. King, and Mrs. Smiling radiantly. Tears of joy are almost about to flow from Bubbles’ eyes. Brick and Buttercup approach her and comfort her.) Brick: Like I said, Bubs, I am really proud of you. You not only saved someone as nice and kind as Jessica from being attacked by those bastards but you also made a really great friend through her. Buttercup: As your sister, I always believed in you, Bubs. You really outdid yourself last night and I couldn’t be any happier for you. You risked your life to save another. And now that you made a great, new friend like Jess, I can’t wait to also meet her. She seems like a great kid. Bubbles: Yeah, she truly is. (Brick, Buttercup, and Bubbles group hug.) This was definitely in the making, as I wanted a bit of closure from the whole Jessica King case, and I was rather satisfied with the results. Like I said, it took time, heart, lots of thinking, effort, plausibility, and lots of love to continue this little story from where the first submission left off and I’m sure this will touch many hearts if it manages to do so. If it does, great and even if it does not, I’m sure it will get a reacting from someone. Well, Paula, you enjoyed this belated submission. I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the delay, but you know life happens and I hope you can forgive. I’m sure this submission and my YouTube channel will definitely suffice as my peace offering and take care and lots of love. By the way, the surname Green is meant for the Rowdyruff Boys as their permanent surname instead of Jojo, as Mr. Green and Mrs. Sara Bellum-Green are their adoptive parents after the whole Him and Mojo Jojo debacle in Custody Battle, at least where my headcanon is concerned. Long story short, the Rowdyruffs were officially adopted by Miss Bellum while they were still six years old, thus making the Powerpuffs specifically Blossom and Buttercup five years old and Bubbles four years old back then, after she found them in the streets. The surname Green came along when Mr. Green of…

Have a Flex-tacular Fourth of July drawn by me

The first panel on the upper left side (Brick x Buttercup or Brickercup) Brick: Yo! The name’s Brick. (He flexes his left bicep.) And I’m the muscle wall you can never bludgeon. The raven-haired cutie here is my queen, Buttercup, or as I would love to call her, BC or Butterbabe. Buttercup: Yup, that’s my Brickster. The most awesome and coolest hubby I have!   The second panel on the upper right side (Butch x Blossom or Blossutch) Butch: ‘Sup, peeps! The name’s Butch. And you wanna know why my biceps go berserk? (Butch flexes his biceps.) Grrrr…It’s because I got the greatest babe by my side, Blossom or Blossy. Blossom: Oh, Butch, you really are a charmer and an equally great husband. Truly the definition of the strongest and most elegant man I have in my life.   The third panel on the lower left side (Mitch x Bunny or Bunnitch) Mitch: Waddup! Name’s Mitch. (He flexes his right bicep.) And I’m hard as a rock. My wifey, Bunny Rabbit, can attest to that. Bunny (touching Mitch’s bicep): Why yes. You definitely know how to put those muscles of yours to work, Mitchie.   The fourth panel on the lower right side (Boomer x Bubbles or Boomubbles) Boomer: Hey! Name’s Boomer. (He flexes his pectoral muscles.) And my pecs go boom boom whenever I see milady, Bubbles, smile. Bubbles: Oh, my handsome Boomie! I’m the luckiest girl in the whole world to have someone like you.   Finale Brick: I’m Brick. Buttercup: I’m Buttercup. Butch: I’m Butch. Blossom: I’m Blossom. Mitch: I’m Mitch. Bunny: I’m Bunny. Boomer: I’m Boomer. Bubbles: And I’m Bubbles. Brick, Butch, Mitch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, Bubbles, and Bunny: And we wanna wish you a HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! WOOHOOHOO!!!   Here we have Townsville’s and in Mitch’s and Bunny’s case Citysville’s all-American heroes having a great time at the beach and enjoying the surf on the Fourth of July. There’s nothing more enjoyable than seeing my most beloved OTPs of all time, Brickercup, Blossutch, Bunnitch, and Boomubbles, looking phenomenal and being the power couples that they are.   My main source of inspiration to make this was Soraya7’s Fun in the Sun, which was a piece of work I totally love. I will admit that I am rather envious of how she was able to make Brick, Butch, and Boomer look so hunky and handsome and Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles look so gorgeous, and I wish I could make them all as attractive as she did. I really love her work to bits and you should go check it out. After taking a gander at that awesome piece of work, I decided to remix it by giving my piece of fan art not only a summer feel but also something that screams Fourth of July pride though not as blatantly obvious. So, I want to thank Soraya for her great RRB/PPG fanart, I hope she continues to do more of that in the future, and, Soraya, I wish you a most blessed Fourth of July.   I would also love to give my warmest Fourth of July greetings to all of the wonderful shippers and fanart specialists of Brickercup, Blossutch, Bunnitch, and Boomubbles. You all know who you are and I am wholly grateful for everything you have contributed so far. May your summer as well as your Fourth of July be splendid and may you celebrate this very special day with joy in your hearts.   Brick, Butch, Mitch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, Bubbles, and Bunny from The Powerpuff Girls belong to Craig McCracken and Cartoon Network.
